Room 3 children worked with a buddy to plan their writing about the Witherlea School FOREST. Their plans included what they saw, what they felt, what they smelt, what they heard and what they tasted.

Zucchini Friday!
Today we made zucchini fritters in room 3.
In the fritters were zucchini, eggs, flour, salt and pepper, and corn.
We shared our fritters with the ferns team. Everyone loved them

Stars maths group
The stars were using counters to add and subtract numbers. We were pretending the counters were lollies, mini pizzas and picklets. The strategies the group came up with were: counting on from the biggest number, counting from one in their head, using the materials to add and subtract and using their basic facts knowledge.

Diamonds maths group.
Today the diamonds maths group matched dot cards with numeral cards, this activity helps the group recognise numbers with a group of objects. All the children in the group did very well with this activity and I was very proud of them!

Self Portraits
In room 3 we draw self-portraits with crayons, we tried really hard to make the drawings look exactly like us. Enjoy!! :-)

Playhouse theatre performance!
This morning room 3 and the rest of witherlea school went to the playhouse theater performance in the school hall. We all loved it!! The performance was based around different fairy tales, for example snow white and the seven dwarfs. But the theme was of it was social media! 😊

Buddy time with room 9. Today we went over to room 9 and read them one of our reading books and then they read us a story.
